I'm testing a new blog tool ~C4Chaos wrote about. One issue is I can't figure out how to end a link if I don't have more words already behind it. I'm sure the function exist. I just haven't figured it out yet. Going to try to upload ~~something here~~: Nevermind, that didn't work. I uploaded an image from my computer using the format, then when I clicked "insert," it asked me for a URL, even though I didn't choose that option. So, it looks like they have some work to do. Oh well...

What is "Damn you, banana!"?

Good question. It's a bit of a mystery. There's this webpage, in the middle of cyberspace, called damnyoubanana.com Fact is no one really knows how it got there. I've spent years trying to unravel the mysteries behind this phenomenon. Luckily, I was recently able to catch up with the creator's agent. Apparently, the site was created by an eccentric old furry hermit who simply refers to himself as "Woolhouse." His agent told me he got that name because people just call him that. So, iconically, he is referred to as "The Man They Call Woolhouse." As far as explanations go, this is about as accurate an explanation as I have been able to ascertain, given my extensive research into the subject, and the mysterious "WH" that seems to be signature to the artistic renditions. Following is my interview with the man who refers to himself as Woolhouse's Agent:

Matthew: So, you know the creator of "Damn you, Banana!"?

Woolhouse's Agent: Of what?... Oh! The website. Yeah, I know him.

M: Can you tell us a little bit about him and the site he created?

WA: Ok, sure. Woolhouse was born a monkey's father in Elk River, MN many, many moons ago. Then just a couple of moons ago, he decided to create a website that would change the universe!

M: "Damn you, Banana!" Right?

WA: That is right. "Damn you, Banana!" features a character named Banana, and his counterpart, Apple. I think the rest is pretty self explanatory.

M: Hmm. What do you mean by "self explanatory?" Could you explain a little further?

WA: See now, if I had to explain it then it wouldn't really be "self explanatory," would it? I think the best thing for you to do would be to actually go to Damn you, Banana! and see if you understand.

M: That's a fantastic idea! But for the readers who don't have the patience to click that hyperlink, could you please summarize?

WA: Ok, I will do my best.

M: Thank you. So, what is "Damn you, Banana!" all about?

WA: Boobies.

M: What?! That's not the impression I got at all when I visited the site! I thought you said it was self explanatory.

WA: Pee pee.

M: Are you just saying potty words to amuse yourself?

WA: Well, obviously you have gotten entirely the wrong impre... Boobies!!

M: Gaa! Stop that. This conversation is over.

I got to meet Stuart Davis at the 2005 November ILP. He was gracious as could be and a hell of a lot of fun. ILP = Integral Life Practice. Unfortunately, he had to leave early because of his tour schedule. I guess that's the life of a rock star though. How do people think of what to blog about?

I was just sitting here (literally) contemplating how in the name of something people think of what kinds of things to blog about. I mean, I don't know what to blog about. Do you just look up the news somewhere and write about it? I prefer to read than to write, but now that I am a semi-professional blogger, I guess I have to figure out what to write about too! Ok, in today's news, my dog barked a little bit. He also pooped on the floor, and I had to clean it up. He's usually pretty good about going outside. I must not have heard his faint whining, and then it was too late!! There were two stinky poops waiting for me near the door. Isn't that exciting? Please post your comments. A blog for the ages

I don't know how to blog properly. That's why the title of this blog is "A blog for the ages." If I knew how to properly blog, the title probably would have been something like "A superb blog that really makes sense," or "I'm Blog of the world!" Yeah, those blog titles really embody knowledge of what blogging is, don't they?
